Welding Smoke Filters

KSF – Filter systems for welding fumes

Welding is almost always associated with toxic exhaust fumes, splashes of liquid metal and the finest dust particles. The hazards depend on which welding process is used and which filler materials are used. Only extraction systems specially adapted to the requirements of welding technology offer the possibility of directly capturing large proportions of the welding fumes and discharging them directly “without them being significantly mixed with the ambient air”. This prevents the pollutants from entering the breathing area of the user.

The extraction of pollutants at the point of origin is laid down in the Workplace Ordinance §3 paragraph 1, Appendix 3.6 Ventilation as a basic requirement for a hazard-free working environment. Valuable information can also be found in DGUV regulation 209-077, suitable ventilation measures for welding fumes.

Your Benefits

  • particle separation
  • the baffle plate at the air inlet distributes the air flow and prevents damage to the HEPA filter
  • Suitable for continuous operation
  • low power usage
  • Utilization of the entire filter surface
  • high filtration capacity
  • longer filter life
  • individually replaceable filters
  • Quiet operating noise due to double sound insulation in the motor section
  • System tested according to DIN VDE 0701/0702 and DGUV regulation 3
  • recorded function and completeness check

Klepp combi filter systems for dust and odour (KKF) are available in two versions:

Series KSF Eco mobile with constant air flow:
The simplified operation of the KSF-Ecoline enables attractive acquisition costs with proven system quality. The operating switch on/off with control lamp is located on the control panel. A warning lamp with acoustic signal indicates a necessary filter change.

Series KSF Eco wall-mounted with constant airflow:
The simplified operation of the KSF-Ecoline enables attractive acquisition costs with proven system quality. The operating switch on/off with control lamp is located on the control panel. A warning lamp with acoustic signal indicates a necessary filter change.

The KLEPP welding fume extraction systems KSF are an ideal solution for a durable and optimal extraction and filtering of the pollutants. Via practical extraction arms and hoods (e.g. PR extraction arms 2 – 4 m) the pollutants are collected and fed to the filter unit. These first hit a sheet steel baffle plate, which ensures that the glowing particles do not enter the Hepa filter. The air deflection ensures that the entire filter surface is utilised. The pollutants in the filter chamber are cleaned by a triple filter system. The cleaned air can remain in the working chamber.
